Ten Months

Sebastian is Ten months today...

Has Four teeth
Sits up
Rolls around
and Scoots backward!

He Scoots backward, then cries because he is moving further away from whatever it is he wants.  Sometimes he scoots himself under furniture and gets stuck.

I feel a little guilty for getting the camera before I rescued him...but come on, I HAD to get a picture.

I finally finished it!!!

It took nearly ten months, but I did it!

I finished Sebastian's quilt...

Are you pleased? I am so very pleased.

About Scout

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

My first born, darling, beautiful, willful girl....

Last week Scout wore her tutu for three days straight.  As soon as she awoke in the morning, she donned her tutu. Immediately after waking up from her nap... tutu.  After her bath in the evening... tutu.  She calls it her “Pincess” (princess).  As soon as she has it on she spins around and says “I pincess, I pincess." The best part is that when she does it herself, she can't get it up over her bum, so she spins around, and the tutu is in place in the front, but just below her butt in the back.

For Scout, everything has a proper place, and must be put in its proper place before we can move on to our next activity (I love this trait, however it does slow things down a bit when we're in a hurry).

When Sebastian cries, she asks him so sweetly: "A matto, baby?" (What's the matter, baby?)

She loves...
Baby dolls, dancing, dressing up, drawing, singing, climbing, "wumping" on the bed, and did I mention drawing? She paints and draws on everything, with anything she can get her hands on.

Notice the artwork on her leg.

She does smile and laugh...just not for the camera.

A Beautiful Clown

While I was pregnant with Sebastian, my niece Zoey would pray every night that I would "be able to push the baby out good."

Shortly after Sebastian was born, her prayer went something like this...
"Thank you that Audrey could push her baby out good.  She is just the greatest girl, like a beautiful clown."

Isn't she the best? I think you are just the greatest girl too,  Zoey.

And here is the birthday card Heather (Zoey's mom) made for me...

I love them! Pretty much the best neighbors a girl could ask for.

Food Storage

Ryan does most of the grocery shopping.  Isn't he wonderful? Yes, I know.  Lately, I've been wanting to work on building a three month supply of food storage.  A few days ago before Ryan went to the grocery store, I asked him to keep an eye out for things we buy frequently.  If any of them are on sale, buy a flat.  I was thinking of canned items such as chicken stock, or cream of mushroom soup, etc.

Ryan came home with this...

Next time I will be more specific.  In the mean time, we have lots of Pringles.

This is where he puts his feet anytime he is in his high chair.

    Here goes...

Okay...I've been wanting to start a blog for about a year now.  I keep putting it off because creating a blog has seemed a bit overwhelming.  There are a few blogs I really enjoy reading and there's no way I'll be able to live up to those.  However, I've now come to terms with that, and I'm blogging anyway. Hope you enjoy...

Here are a few pictures to introduce our family.

    The day it all began

A few years past and our beautiful daughter, Scout Lyla was born
17 months after that, came sweet Sebastian Eli

    And here we are today

So...I'm still trying to figure out how some of these blogging things work.
